Inovia Flowing Enhancers

Flowing enhancer is an important plastic process additive. It can improve the flowing behavior and processability of plastics. Compared to traditional flow enhancer products, the unique feature of ionic liquid flowing enhancer is that it can significantly improve the flowing behaviors of plastics, and at the same time it will not affect the thermal, mechanical properties of the plastics modified. This is because of a brand-new mechanism of "reversible plasticizer enhancing flow behaviors".

The "ionic nature" of ionic liquid flowing enhancer products introduces strong intra-molecular forces between polymer chains and small molecule additives. As a result, at room temperature the small molecule additives are kind of "locked"  between polymer chains, and cannot move freely, which is different from traditional plasticizer. Therefore, the thermal, mechanical properties of the plastics modified are very mildly affected, and in some cases, remain intact.

When the plastic is melted, the intra-molecular forces between polymer chains and the small molecule flowing enhancer products will be broken. The small molecule additives will be able to move freely between polymer chains, acting as an internal lubricant. Therefore, the viscosity of plastics will be lowered, and the flowing behavior will be enhanced.
